Arthur and Kim Davis, the Road Directors for the 22nd Kidney Kar Rally, like many people were pleased to see the drought break in Queensland earlier this year as they drove and planned the 4800 kilometre Kidney Kar Rally route.

However, after having completed the route, the floods then moved down from
Queensland wiping out large parts of the planned rally route forcing Arthur and Kim to drive an extra 26,000 kilometres to re-design the route.
"In one situation we had a flood with water levels six metres over the top of a bridge at Innamincka, in South Australia just south of Birdsville, wash away the approaches to the bridge, and in another area sixty one millimetres (244 points) of rain were recorded in a day."
This is the 10th Kidney Kar Rally managed by Arthur and Kim Davis, who have clocked up an estimated one million kilometres.
The 2010 Kidney Kar Rally will commence on Friday 13 August 2010 at the Swan Hill Pioneer Settlement travelling through Victoria, South Australia, Queensland and New South Wales with a field of forty seven vehicles over nine days from 13 to 21 August 2010 when the Rally will finish at the Glen Innes Golf Club.
This year's event will get off to a great start on Friday 13th August with the 'Wigs and Cleavage' Theme Night where rally crews make fools of themselves and have a lot of laughs.
