Brett Colleta, a year 10 student at Parkdale Secondary College, commenced playing golf at Sandhurst Club at eleven years of age at a coaching clinic with PGA Professional Stuart Leong, and began playing Junior Pennant in 2008.

From the beginning of Pennant to current Colts Senior Pennant, Brett's match play has only two losses.

Brett has also represented the Men's senior pennant in 2012 on 3 occasions for 3 wins.

Peter Maher, Sandhurst Golf Club Men's Captain said, "Brett is a shining example of how determination and dedication of a young person can lead to outstanding achievements such as winning the Club's Championship, and the importance of the extensive Junior Program being run by the Club."

Christian Hamilton, Director of Golf at Sandhurst Club said, "Brett had some impressive wins in his short career of ranking tournaments with memorable wins at Southern Junior Classic 36 Hole, Stuart Appleby Series at Metropolitan, and the Stuart Appleby Signature Tournament at Heritage Golf Course."

Brett currently plays in the under 18 Victoria State Squad.

Commenting on his success, Brett thanked the Sandhurst Golf Club for its support and looked forward to enjoying his golf and the many friendships he had made at the Club over the past four years.

Christian Hamilton said the Golf Club had commenced a fund raising program to support Brett's travel interstate to take part in a major tournament.
