Fed Square will screen the Multifaith Service from St Paul's Cathedral in Melbourne tomorrow, 24 July at 10.00am, to mark the tragic loss, last Friday, of 298 lives aboard Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17.

Flags representing the countries of those who perished on Flight MH17 will be flown at half mast.

Members of the community at Fed Square will have an opportunity to register their support by text messages from mobile phones to the Big Screen.

Countries represented include Netherlands, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, Philippines, Canada and New Zealand.

The Primate of Australia, the Most Revd Dr Philip Freier, and the Premier of Victoria, the Hon. Dr Denis Napthine, will be joined by members of the Dutch, Malaysian, Indonesian, British, Belgian, German and US American, and Canadian communities.

The Dean of Melbourne, the Very Revd Dr Andreas Loewe will lead the service. Dr Freier will preach, and Dr Napthine and Consular representatives will lead an Act of Remembrance. Representatives from Victoria's faith communities and the Victorian Council of Churches will participate in the service.
