One of 81 trips he made on EastLink between 25 November 2008 and 14 February 2009 has won a Melbourne man the great Australian dream – a $170,000 block of land at the newly released Sandarra housing project at Sandhurst.

Shane Grattidge, 54, of Croydon, was announced as the winner of the unique ‘Road Lotto’ competition – a joint promotion between ConnectEast and Sandarra in Melbourne’s south-east.

A single trip on EastLink by the father of two was randomly selected by computer from around 2.9 million eligible trips during the competition period.

Drivers holding an active pre-paid Breeze Tag or Non Tag Account with ConnectEast were automatically entered into the draw every time they used EastLink.

Located in the suburb of Sandhurst, a few minutes from the Thompson Road Interchange on EastLink, Sandarra is a 500 lot subdivision on the western side of McCormicks Road in south east Melbourne.
