International Marketer Says 'Business
Winners Love Recessions' Business warned
not to depend on Rudd Government stimulus
package
The economic downturn is full of
opportunities for Australian business to expand and grow
their market share according to one of the world's
leading marketing and business consultants, Bob
Pritchard, who has warned business against depending on
the Rudd Government economic stimulus
package.
|

Mr Pritchard will spearhead a
national series of Business Lunches 'Why Winners Love
Recessions' in October to raise funds for Kidney Health
Australia along with Don Keady, CEO Australian Institute
of Sales, Marketing and Management and Callan Taylor,
brilliant Small Business Young Entrepreneur of the
Year.
Mr Pritchard said instead of hiding
under rocks, cutting costs and sacking people during a
recession, the winners in business are looking at how to
increase their market share by using the reduction in
advertising costs and embracing low cost new media to
maintain or increase their marketing penetration,
modifying their product offerings, repackaging their
businesses operations to enhance customer- service, and
putting their operations under efficiency reviews.
"Business should not rely on the Rudd
Government's economic stimulus package for long term
survival as it is only a very short temporary
solution.
"Unfortunately many businesses are
similar to people with Chronic Kidney Disease who do not
know they have the disease, losing up to ninety per cent
of the use of their kidneys before they are diagnosed
with the Silent Killer.
"In the case of businesses, many of
them reach a serious and sometimes terminal financial
position because the management is not constantly giving
their company a financial health check or planning their
marketing to take advantage of recessions or changing
business conditions quickly enough."
Winners in Business Love Recessions as it provides
them with a set of conditions that can allow them to
boost their company's position by taking advantage
of: · Pressure on
competitors · Large cost
reduction in all forms of
advertising · Opportunities
to look at takeovers at reduced
costs · Business
opportunities for collaboration with associated
industries for efficiencies Mr Pritchard said the
series of fundraising lunches for Kidney Health
Australia will also be used to raise the awareness of
Chronic Kidney Disease which kills forty Australians
every day, and has just 5% awareness within the
community according to survey by the International
Kidney Foundation. Mr. Pritchard says the
presentations will provide management with
practical, easy to implement ideas and case studies that
can make an immediate impact on the bottom line of any
business.
