Home Buyers Take Advantage of Competition in Home Building

With land prices starting at $162,500 and house and land packages being available from $360,000, home buyers are taking advantage of the highly competitive home building market at Sandarra, the fastest selling housing project in Melbourne's south east.

Since launching on 15 November 2008 150 lots have already been sold on the 500 lot housing project located at Sandhurst on the western side of McCormicks Road.

Builders featured on the website include Carlisle Homes, Metricon, Paulding Homes, Profine, and the Superior Building Group with details on 27 house and land packages. Since this part of the Sandarra website was released it has proven to be highly popular with the visitor rate jumping by 300%.

"With 150 blocks already sold Sandarra will continue to sell strongly because of the price point, the quality of the project, availability of recycled water, ultra high speed internet and its location being just a couple of kilometres from EastLink."

Ms Kerr said Sandarra's position was attracting people from a wide area including the Mornington Peninsula and the outer eastern suburbs, with many buyers coming from within a ten kilometre radius who were wanting to trade up to a new home.

"Sandarra's location, within minutes of Port Phillip Bay, just 2 kilometres from EastLink's Thompson Road entry and exit ramps, places Sandarra within fifteen minutes of the City of Frankston, shopping centres and the major employment corridors of the south east of Melbourne.
