Australia's First Fibre to the Home
Suburb Sandhurst part of International
Conference
The Fibre to the
Home (FTTH) Council Asia Pacific Annual Conference
& Exhibition 2009 - "See The Light: Fibre
Foundations for the Digital Economy" will use
Sandhurst, a privately developed suburb in south east
Melbourne to highlight the advantages of
Fibre to the Home.
To be opened by
the Hon. Stephen Conroy, Australian Federal Minister for
Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, the
Conference 19-21 May 2009, Melbourne, will highlight the
latest trends in Fibre To The Home (FTTH) in the Asia
Pacific region and wider geographical areas.
International delegates from the
Conference on 21st May 2009 will tour the
multi award winning golfing residential suburb of
Sandhurst, developed by Victorian based golfing
residential specialists Links Living
Limited.
The network at Sandhurst developed by PBN
deploys a complete access fibre-to-the-home (FTTH)
solution. The advanced network topology provides
true triple-play video, voice and data services, like
internet, VOIP and television.
Stephen
Head Managing Director of Links Living said, planning
for the ultra hi speed optic fibre system began five
years ago as part of planning Sandhurst as the
'Suburb for the Future' which needed to have superior
environmental and communication
standards. "Whilst there is much discussion
about Fibre to the Home, Sandhurst
is a perfect example of the benefits of the Ultra High
Fibre networks." Media Enquiries:
