Grant Ernest John Tambling, Senator for the Northern Territory, was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to Dr Michael Wooldridge, the Minister for Health and Aged Care, in October 1998.

Senator Tambling has particular responsibility for the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), which includes complementary medicines. Complementary medicines (also known as 'traditional' or 'alternative' medicines) include vitamin, mineral, herbal, aromatherapy and homoeopathic products.
