First
Home Buyers Grant Boost Cuts House and Land Packages
The developers
of a prestigious drought proof housing estate in the south east of Melbourne
said the announcement of the tripling of the first home buyers grant to $21,000
will see new house and land packages on the project sell for around $299,000.
Links Living
said with the first 36 lots coming on to the market within the next four weeks,
and the big boost in the first home buyers grant, the construction schedule
for the project has been brought forward by at least twelve months.
Trudi Kerr
of Oliver Hume, said the tripling of the first home buyers grant will put
the lifestyle project clearly within the reach of first home buyers, winding
back the clock around ten years on prices for such a prestige location that
is drought proof and comes with a green guarantee.
"With land
prices starting at around $165,000 and house and land packages being available
from around $299,000, Sandarra provides a range of quality, affordable housing
options."
Ms Kerr said
the Government initiative provides an exceptional opportunity to enter the
housing market at a very competitive price into a project which has a guaranteed
supply of water at a time when Victoria is facing a dramatic drop in rainfall
with the continuing drought.
"Prospective
buyers have commented on the provision of recycled water on Sandarra which
will enable them to quickly establish their gardens and add instant value
to their properties." .
