Vehicle Emission Testing Laboratory
Queen Street Altona

Last year 13,000 Victorian motorists were charged for driving smoky vehicles, a significant jump in numbers according to the EPA Annual Report.
One of the major environmental issues at present is that there are no proper testing facilities or standards for diesel engines entering Australia, or a testing facility for the popular four wheel drive vehicles in Australia.
Vipac Engineers & Scientists Ltd, Australia's largest automotive testing and development specialist, will hold a briefing at its emission testing station in Queen Street Altona and will outline plans to develop Australia's ONLY testing station for diesel motors and four wheel drives at the Port Melbourne Technology Centre.
The Emission testing station will be in full operation and there will be an example of an imported four-wheel drive vehicle on site for which there is no testing facility.
