For almost thirty years, Jason has reported the day's events for television news services in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and London. For the past three years he has presented Network TEN's national 11.30 morning news.

The morning bulletin involved him in producing thirty minutes of live television to a late morning deadline, requiring him to draw on his extensive broadcasting background. Wherever the story is happening the bulletin crosses live to the location which can involve him in up to five interviews in the half hour. During major events such as the Thredbo disaster and the Port Arthur shootings, the 11.30 news was extended to provide continuous coverage.

Jason's other roles at TEN have included co-hosting the Network's live coverage of the Funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales as well as relief presenter for the 5pm News desks in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and Newsweek and Meet the Press.

Prior to joining the TEN Network, Jason was seen on the Nine Network in Melbourne for 15 years, researching, producing and presenting reports on Nine News and the national late evening bulletin Nightline.

In July 1994 Jason spent a month in central Africa covering the Rwanda refugee crisis and back home he covered the Royal Commissions into the BLF and Tricontinental Merchant Bank as well as several Royal Tours. While working for the Seven Network Jason covered the long-running Fitzgerald Inquiry into government and police corruption.

In 1973 Jason was employed by Thames Television in London to be one of the commentators for their coverage of the Royal wedding of Princess Anne.

Jason has a keen interest in gardening, bush-walking, cycling and stills photography.
