Kevin James was appointed Director and General Manager of the BP Refinery (Buwer Island) Limited in January 1999. Prior to this assignment, Kevin was Business Group Financial Manager for Amoco's Refining Business Group in Chicago since 1996.

Kevin joined Amoco in 1983, beginning his career in Amoco's Controllers Department. Since then he had assignments in the Treasurer's Department and various Amoco Planning & Economics groups, both in Houston and in Chicago. From 1991 to 1996 Kevin held leadership positions in Amoco's Permian Basin Business Unit, first as Financial Services & Administration Manager and later as Operations Manager.

Kevin earned his A.B. degree in Physics from Dartmouth College and his M.B.A. from the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania.)
