Mark Stewart
Chief Executive Officer
Archicentre
For the
past seven years Mr Stewart has been the General Manager of Assist Australia
Pty Ltd, the commercial arm of the Australian Auto Clubs in the Automotive
sector.
Previously
he has also headed up the Dunlop Olympic Tyre operation in Australia including
its Motor Sport Division for a number of years.
A scientist
by original training and having worked as an engineer, Mr Stewart has
over thirty years experience in financial management, brand development,
marketing, sales and the delivery of both products and consumer services.
Commenting
on his appointment Mr Stewart said, "Architects have an increasingly important
role to play in the future of the planet and their role is grossly under-rated
and under utilised in Australia.
"Issues such
as increasing housing density, sustainability, energy conservation, infrastructure
spending, affordable housing, and climate change will impact greatly on the
community and will dramatically increase the need for the design skills of architects.
Archicentre is uniquely positioned to play a pivotal role in these areas and
I am excited to be leading the company on its strategic growth path."
